‘Pop Bus’ Progress

You may have noticed that Poplar’s Bus is back in school. We are super excited to update everyone on progress with our ‘Pop Bus’ Project, whilst at the same time thanking many people and local businesses for their help getting us this far.
The bus is now back on school grounds and in position; having been safely decommissioned.
Here is our long list of thankyous…
1. Crouch Recovery in Leicester – for moving the bus from school to John Hill Coaches ready for its decommissioning works.
2. John Hill Coaches in Melton Mowbray – for arranging the decommissioning and returning the bus back to school.
3. Tim Russell (Wates Group) – for arranging the groundworks to tow the bus into its new position back at school.
4. Markhams Builders in Sleaford – for groundworks (concrete pads and level ground for container).
5. Phil Kerr (Sleafordian Coaches)- for all his planning for the concrete pads, steel supports, as well as the two mechanics allocated to us on site who were just great.
6. Drainco in Cambridge – for assistance in moving the bus into position.
7. Tranvic in Newark – for turning up at short notice to assist with compressor air and jacks on site at school.
8. Morbey Fencing in Boston – for removing and replacing fence panels when required.
We are now very busy with planning, designing and fundraising; to kit out our PopBus with a library area and sensory room.
More progress updates coming soon.
