Yesterday, Year 1 had a very exciting visit from a mobile planetarium! The children stepped inside a giant dome and were transported all the way into space 🚀

They learnt all about the planets in our solar system, including 🌎 Earth, fiery Mars, and the enormous Jupiter. The children loved spotting the different colours and sizes of the planets and learning fun facts about each one.

They also talked about astronauts and how they travel into space on rockets to explore and discover new things. The children were fascinated to learn about the Moon - especially how it shines at night and how astronauts once walked on it!

Finally, Y1 explored the stars and looked at how they form patterns in the sky called constellations. The children were brilliant at sharing their ideas and asking thoughtful questions throughout the session. ⭐
